Happy Thanks Giving
After 15 years in this country I finally had a nice Thanks Giving. No melodrama, no bitching, no hungover husband and he was actually nice the entire day. His mother also called to say she had her nicest Thanks Giving too so I guess that makes it easy for us to stay home again next year!
It was great to see BQ actually interacting with the kids and the kids even said this was their best Thanks Giving. Cali gave me one of the nicest real smiles I have seen out of her in a while. I don’t think she is a bad person but MIL honestly seems to bring out the worst in all of our family. What a shame. Her stress/depression/anxiety really seems to rub off.
BQ has been sober over a week now. There have been some wonderful changes. He has lost my heart though and I am not sure he can get it back. I love him, but in a very different way. There has been so much distance for so long I just don’t know whether I can walk the bridge and go back to him. I am prepared to give it time.
