The other day zq was going home with his friend jake so I said to eq that I would pick him up from school. I said that because I haven’t picked him up before I will have to call the school and find out what time pickup was. He said that he would ask his teacher & call me on his cell. As he really wanted to do it I figured why not let him enjoy doing this for me.
About 10am I get a phone call. “mum? It’s me, eq, I have to be quiet because I am in the bathroom. Can you hear me? I asked my teacher what time pick up is. It is 2.45. Got that? 2.45. It’s at 2.45. Did you get that? One more time 2.45. Put that in your phone. Ok I gotta go, bye.” I didn’t get a single word in it was hysterical. Definetly the cutest phone call I have ever received.
I went on zqs first field trip of the year with him a couple of weeks ago. It was so nice to be able to go with him. Still a great community and group of kids. I will be eternally grateful to this school. Can’t imagine zq without it. We went to the Franklin mineral museum. It was a wonderful trip and I would love to take zq & his slow paced twin I mean friend, Oliver back there soon, they could have spent days there.
While on the bus to the field trip I got cornenered by the little gang of zqs friends, with their cute little smiles & pleading I find myself completely powerless and before I know it I have agreed to a sleepover party!!!! Huh??? How did they do that? Am I insane???
So last weekend Jake & Oliver came over for zqs first sleepover. It was actually quite fun and very cute. They are such nice kids. (tunji couldn’t make it so I have promised another sleepover for him soon) Oliver came early Saturday morning and I took all the kids down to the local toy store where they were having a Lego make your own car and give away. With a these nuts for legos boys it was the best thing ever. When I packed them all back into the car I walk around to my door open it up to “thank you for taking us to this you’re the best!!!” so I guess they liked it. We then rushed the boys to their lasst soccer game. Aq played with Oliver while the boys played.
Jake came by after soccer (& I gave him the car I made at the store before they ran out of the giveaways - phew) and his mom and I sat chatting while the kids made a secret hideout in the woods. We relaxed over a glass of wine, it was very pleasant.
Now to add to the chaos bq invited a couple of coworkers who are here from India. Thankfully he cooked for them but it was pretty nuts with all the kids running about.
After I pried the wild children out of the woods I talked them into food and a movie. We went to see legends of the guardians. It was very good and the kids had a blast. When we got home it was more food and ice-cream then I set them up with the laptop in the bedroom. They of courser insisted they were going to watch all night long… At about 11 we removed the laptop. In 5 mins oliver was asleep and the other 2 were down in about 30 mins. They of course are convinced that they stayed up all night. Sunday I saw them for pancakes then it was off for more adventures in the woods.
The boys were picked up by 1 then I had scheduled lorraine to come over so I could shoot pictures of becky for her. Phew! What a busy weekend!
At some point on Saturday aq came running in screaming bear and this time sounded the warning for everyone else instead of just locking the door behind here so she was safe. Bq went out to chase 2 bears off our trees ones morning a while back and aq got scared so she locked the door… Locking bq out!
Aq has an audition in NYC for a student film tomorrow. Yasmyne is taking zq and Gina taking eq after school. Will see if she likes it. She liked the other film she did.
She did a shoot for davids bridal a couple of weekends ago. She had a blast and was so well behaved. It was very cute and it was especially nice for us to have the night in the hotel together just us the night before.
