WTF is YOUR problem this is MY yard…
Sunday night I finally remember to take the trash down. I go back to my car and gather up some more trash then walk it down to the trash can. The trash can has been upturned! The entire time I was cleaning out my car the bear was behind me eating my trash. Lovely. That is just the start of the story…
I get up Monday morning and not a single bit of trash is actually in a can but all over my yard AND my nieghbours!!! So I spend 20mins rushing about trying to get it back into the trash can while the bear watches from nearby!! The trash guys arrive and one of them HELPS me pick it up!! I am eternally grateful to you buddie!
Lovely start to the day…
THEN, the lady I shop for got her days mixed up and calls me all flustered wondering where I was making me late to meet Karen for coffee.
THEN on the way to take the kids to the Haloween trick or treating at BQs work I get in a fight in stand still traffic on the bridge. Our windows are all open as the weather was gorgeous. This guy tries to jam me out of getting in the merge. Starts screaming bloody murder at me to which I reply “I am coming in, no matter what. Where do you expect me to go? Off the brigde???” It gets NASTY. I really set this guy off but went in anyway smilling and waving at him to the cheers of other drivers “you go girl don’t take his shit” lol. After a long while of being stuck in stand still traffic I start to wonder if I should really have ticked off this young male rippling with muscles… after all I wasn’t going to be able to take him on should he choose to get out of his car and have a go at me… my smiling and doing happy toots back to his angry honking really had this guy blowing a gasket!
Finally get to Ben’s work and the kids get candy. AQ was a TRIP!! She got so into actually being a vampyre. It was soooooooooooo cute.
I tell the kids not to eat candy in the car and drive off.
A little while later I turn off the radio — I HAVE NO IDEA WHY I DID BUT I DID! I then hear AQ try to talk then gag then struggling for breathe then NO BREATH!!!!!!!! I tear thru 3 lanes of traffic — MORE honking — and pull over to unchoke the child. IT WAS TERRIFYING!!! EVERYONE was crying. I could have lost her!! By the time I meet BQ and Chuck at the restaurant we are all pretty shaken up.
We had an ok time at the restaurant and the kids enjoyed, what is becoming rare, a few mins with Dad.
Just when you think the day couldn’t get any worse we top it off with this:
The boys were following me home but stopped to get gas. So I arrived a lot before them. I come in to find my slidding glass door wide open and leaves at the entrance. I rush up to arm myself and check the house - nothing. Nothing taken, nothing disturbed. BQ finally gets in and checks the yard. Nothing. It is raining hard at this point so we couldn’t see footprints or anything. We call the police just to file a report and get the “make sure your door is locked lecture”. He said that there have been kids breaking in and looking for cash to feed drug habbits lately and that they probably heard me coming up the drive and took off. At least they were not still in the house when I got in.
So that was my full day. Didn’t sleep well last night despite being exhausted.
We have Chuck’s LOVELY rotwieller here this week. She is the best behaved dog I have ever met. SOOOOOOOOO Sweet. And scared of kids toys that make noise — so much for rotwiellers being scary! lol. It is great for the kids to meet a nice dog for a change.
Chuck is here for the week working with Ben. Adam is working with them too so he is in and out all week too. How on earth am I to keep the house clean?? sigh
