img_0815sepia.jpgWOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so thrilled. That was the best “fully legal” recreation I have ever partaken in fully clothed. *GRIN*
So first night with the league went well. I was terribly nervous at first but once I got it figured out I got really good. My goal is to be competition good in 6 months, at this rate of improvement I might even make it!! Yeeeha! The girl that did the course at the same time I did was there too which was a great bonus as she is lovely and we get along great. I love people who can make me laugh.
I had such a run around day. I dropped zq off at the bustop. Then spent 30minutes trying to pry EQ from the bed. He would not get up. He went to school ok. Not great but not terrible. He didn’t throw a fit or cry but did hit me and get really angry. Not bad for first day back.
I was looking forward to girl time but I had to stop at the Drs to get EQs school paperwork and by the time we got home poor AQ had fallen asleep. So I loaded up the car with all the bedding and the weeks worth of clothes so that we could pick up the boys then go to the laundry mart. She woke up in time enough for a snack and some cuddles then we had to go get ZQ.
AQ is soooo cute when she gets her brothers. She waits patiently at the curb for ZQ (jumping up and down with excitment but not moving from her waiting spot - terrified of them getting run over since the neighbour hit the other neighbours kid!)then when I say it is ok she smoothers him and squels in delight saying how much she missed him. Very, very cute. Today ZQ even gave her back a hug. He was a bit glum today and think he appreciated the hug.
I asked EQ if he missed AQ as she missed him and he said “not at all. I liked having time away from her”. Which is perfectly normal and healthy of course.
BQ and the kids did great. They were bathed and asleep when I came home and not in front of the TV! Most impressed.
Another long, expensive trip to the laundry mart this afternoon. I can’t wait until I have a machine back!! The kids do really well there so that much I guess is a relief. We had fairy hunts then the boys played save AQ from the goblins. Aparantly she is very good at getting caught. She loves to play along too. She pretends she is trapped then sends out a rescue call and they carefully pluck her down from whatever spot she has squished herself into. EQ was piggbacking her at one stage.
It was about 1billion degrees today with 85% humidity (the humidity # actually is not an exaggeration!). And when we had all the dryers in the place running it was at least 2 billion degrees! I was soaking wet by the time I got home then the house was awful hot too. Thank goodness the evening cooled down. Honestly hotter than most of the Summer days right now and it is officially fall. They had fall leaves up at EQs school today which just looked commical with all the kids and Mum’s in Summer clothing.
There was a squirrel eating nuts on our deck today. It was really wierd (especially as he is the first in the yard in a while…) he was getting nuts from the woods and bringing them up to the deck then eating them. You should see the nut debri on the deck. I have never seen a squirrel do that before. So long as it is not in the house I am plenty happy.
Well I have a mountain of school paperwork to do and a house to clean… this is avoiding it. Nope it still hasn’t done itself… oh well…what if I wait a little longer???…. nope…drat
