“Talented, Awesome and a pleasure to work with”

WOOOHOOO!!! I had my first professional shoot today and it went great!!!!!!! I knew I could help this guy out easily and I am so glad he gave me the chance. I had a blast and can’t believe I can actually get paid for this! lol.
So I left EQ with the Ls and took AQ and ZQ with the promise of a treat if they sat quietly on the blanket and drew, stuck stickers etc. They were pretty good. It was product shooting so a lot of set up then wait for the shutter so I wasn’t ignoring them the entire time.
I had such a great time fighting with the lighting and winning. The products are these ornate wooden crafts that are very difficult to shoot so it was a challenge. Gary said I am “talented, awesome and a pleasure to work with”. Grining!!
I am going to do a full days shooting next Sat. then whenever he has new product. Plus it is something to put on my resume and get my freelancing contacts started. I am so excited. I nearly squeled in poor K’s ear. lol. So I know what I want to do with it now and just have to get it all set up. Stay tuned…
I got another 2 editors choice awards on my betterphoto portfolio today so that was like my early morning good luck charm. I can see improvement and I am inspired again which is good.
I am hoping to shoot my old gal pal Shay this weekend. She is so gorgeous and will look absolutely fabulous no matter what I do with her. I hope she can make it. Plus it will be great to see her, it has been years.
EQ of course had a fabuluous time with the Ls and didn’t want to ever come home with me.
AQ and I finally had girl time today as I woke her up this time. We played rocket Cali, tea party, she took pics of flowers and me (wonder where she learnt that from?!), ate snacks and had a lovely time.
butterfly.jpgBQ is in Miami this week.
I have so much to do and the PTA stuff hasn’t even started yet! eeek!!
Oh back to school night. BQ came home early and we left the kids with the neighbours kids and their babysitter - poor thing 5 kids! It wasn’t very informative - well at least not if you have already read the paperwork sent home. The teacher seems pretty good and ZQ likes her. Though she is really raving about his concentration and participation. I worry that she has mistaken his desire to be a “good kid” with concentration. We shall see. She does seem just about the right kind of personality for him right now. Oh and via EQ I learnt that ZQ and C down the street are actually having CONVERSATIONS on the bus. EQ yabbers on about all the stuff C says to ZQ. It is really nice that they like eachother.
League night on Monday was awesome. I was in a terrible mood and was really off at the start but once I cleared my head I did really well. Even Latief commented on my improvement (easy to improve tonnes when you start at the bottom!). He thinks we will be all competition ready in a few months. Not to sure about that but fun to have goals. I get to design the new t-shirts which I am also excited about.
So I have been reading tonnes about Parvo Virus and people who have the rare critical condition. Usually when people get it this bad it can go on for years!! Several people have had multiple trips to the hospital with meningitus (viral). Sigh. The few that have had improvement have been the ones that have had blood transfusions or the ones that have changed diet, specifically to the hunter/gatherer diet or the raw food diet. A’s Uncle told me I needed tonnes of salt so I upped that and switched to a raw food diet. So far I feel great. I still know I am sick but am getting increasingly more energy. It is also easier to eat more frequently which is what I need. The other day I had pain and tingling in my left arm along with dizziness. So I sat down, poured a tonne of salt on cucumber slices and not very much longer it went away. So I guess that is the trick. So long as I have salt no more fainting!
Gotta take care of Ms E tommorrow, then the play bus, then play with EQs little fav gal, then washing, housework…… nevermind that list is too scary I must stop there before I have a panic attack!
