So it was actually warm enough to be outside all day yesterday and not be miserable. Warm enough by the afternoon to even take off your jacket so long as you kept moving. We spent the day outside working as a family. It was great. We burnt the rest of the boxes from the kitchen cabinets, bq took down the Christmas lights and cleaned the gutters, I moved the rest of the rocks from the back of the yard to the front to line the garden and we cleaned up the leaves from our fire area. Daddy decided to get the change tray and pay the kids 5c a stick. The entire yard was cleared of sticks in one day and most of it due to my little worker ant zq. He worked so hard Daddy had to change the pay rate, even still he earnt himself $20. Well worth it as in one day all the sticks are cleaned up! Aq even ran about collecting sticks, it was really cute.

We have decided that the other half of our “spare” granite, the stuff that got scratched and is currently sittting on our deck, is going to go as a table outside, we are going to get Bruce to make a brick firepit/bbq with the granite as a workspace/table next to it. It will be really cool. bq is getting new outdoor furniture this year. Our stuff now currently resides in the wood pile in the woods. The table collapsed last Summer and that was the last piece still standing.

The kids rode their bikes early on and EQ has really gotten the hang of 2 wheels without training wheels. He can’t quite get started without help yet but he has gotten turning and stopping down. Still a bit nervous but not far from being on top of it. AQ has forgotten how to peddle the trike but insists on me pushing her about on it. This is not an easy task while you are helping the 3 year old on his bike too.

So having this loooooovely kitchen is a bit of a housework curse. I get HORRIBLE guilts if it is not clean and start to feel like I don’t deserve it if I can’t keep it clean which means I am cleaning alllllllllllllllll the time. lol.

We had a playdate with Jack on Friday. It is amazing how much alike Jack and Zq are. It really blows me away. They even look a little alike. His sister and AQ are both struggling to be dominant female so they come to blows sometimes. I find it amusing.

Well the rain has hit so I might go to the store before it turns into the ice storm they are promising.
