What a beginning to the year, or is that the end of 2006.

Jake got hurt and we spent New Years eve at the after hours vet. We went back to the normal vet Friday and had to take him in for more xrays on Monday. Monday seen the morning at the vet and the baby has a broken growth plate and needs to be seen by an orthopaedic surgeon. Tuesday we are off the the orthopaedic surgeon. We can leave it and he will go lame, and chances are that it will break again as the two bones are now growing at different rates or operate.

Wednesday we go into surgery. PIcked him up at night and had a pretty sorry for himself Canterbury supporter with a red and black bandage. This morning when I got the keys out he thought he should come with me too, just as well he was booked into the hospital for the day again, so heavn help me tomorrow when he gets to stay home alone.

He now has to be crated for the next 4-6 weeks to heal, dont know if the bank balance will ever do that but he is adorable and deserves to have the very best. So all in all a really great start to the year. Lets hope it improves from here.
