Another week over and closer to the end of yet another year.

We have Albert Tce all signed up and just waiting on the sewer lines to be fixed so that we can get a tennant in the studio. Margaret brought round some curtain material from the op shop yesterday so will have to go measure and and get the curtains made. Its not to bad and I could live with it.

Had a hectic week at work, we have just finished the radiolgraphers strike and now have the lab workers strike to organise. Boy are we ever going to just operate on people. We were on the front page of the press again yesterday about the poor job we are doing and how ppl are being compromised. I went to Wellington on conference on Thursday, quite a day as I had to go up and down in the day as there was no affordable accomadation available in the centre. Just as well as we migrated the computer system to XP and what a disaster. Cant say that I am surprised or it didnt go as we thought it would, would have been a lot easier if the ppl who scoped our office actually listened to what we do and how it could be a problem as everthing that we predicted happened. For what it was worth they did appoligise for not taking any notice but that everyone in the hospital had a version of what would go wrong and it hadnt always been the case. Got really annoyed at one of the IBM guys telling me that my reports didnt print cos my printer needed a new toner. Well it flashes that for about 5 reams and it was fine yesterday so - no that is not the problem. He did end up with, hey, I have been doing this for five years and dont think that I need to have basic computer training from you - thank you very much. If you dont know what is wrong then perhaps you should get someone who does, as we have already done the basic check list. Ok so maybe I got a bit shirty but I had been at work for two hours and couldnt even log into the computer. Should have stayed home for the day. They did end up staying in our office for three hours and making sure that we were up and running and fully supported in the end though. But now we have the big lock down and cant make any changes to the computer, cant save unless it is to the network, cna read from UBS but cant write to it, well really clever for when the network falls over and you loose all your work. We cantg get into some of the programmes that we use for work force planning but then it isnt important. Well unless we want to be paid for the last month. I could write a book on what has gone but who would be interested, certainly not those that are running the project.

Nathan and I went out to Candices last night. I was nice to have sometime alone with Nathan, even if it was cos he needed a ride out. It was ment to be her 21st party but there was only us there. She seems to be doing ok with baby and the place was neat and tidy. Good for her.

Murray went away on the bike on Friday. Should be home sometime today.

Not alot more to report, all is well with you all and the project is moving along.

Love you all

Mum
