Biker boys…

So we went to Horseshoe lake park every day this week and the boys biked between 2 and 4 miles each day. It was really neat to see EQ progress from barely peddling the tricycle around on Monday to riding the 2 wheel with training wheels and needing loads of help on Tuesday to today when he was racing with Zac.

Zac came home and we took off the trainer wheels to another bike (which was never used as the trainer wheels were useless on it) and he has been practicing riding it. He is doing really well. He has not cried once from a fall and is really trying hard. I am soo proud! :D

Tonight I decided it was time to get the kids sleeping arangements sorted so I put ZQs bed on freecycle (gone in 5 minutes!) and went and purchased some mattresses. I had been waiting on BQ to go with me to tie them but we missed them at costco so tonight I called around and ended up shopping at the only place that would tie them on for me. IĀ must have been this guys easiest sale too. So all 3 kids are currently in their own beds (well the bunk beds are not up so ZQ and AQ are currently on the mattresses on the floor but hey close enough). This is very exciting for this household! EQ is thrilled not to be sharing with AQ as aparantly 2 bed hogs in one bed doesn’t suit either child. ZQ has agreed to sleep on the top bunk until AQ has her own room… so sometime in the next year or so we need to either build another room or move… YUCK don’t even want to think about that. I wonder if I could convince BQ to move his office to the basement or perhaps in the attic with the bats and mice! lol. Might be easier to build than convince him of that.

OK if I think too much about anymore projects that need to happen I might burst a blood vessel. One thing at a time.

The builder said he can’t get in until Oct 15th. I am starting to feel like we will be living in a construction zone forever. Water was pouring through the ceiling again this morning (after showers). The plumber hasn’t even given me his estimate yet, I am dreading the cost of this whole nightmare. Actually I am so tired that this whole thing is seeming like just too much to handle right now. I am not getting everything done and simply calling everyone back each day is even a challenge. People love talking to you when you have screaming kids in the background.

AQ has been really sick. She got terrible runs from the antibiotics and it keeps getting worse. She is not eating much because of it and today fell a lot and was really clingy. hallmark of when she is about to get really sick. So a bit worried about her. She has a nice we bruise on her face as she fell when I was on the phone and she tripped over her own feet trying to get my attention.

I listened to a good show on the radio today about wine so I just HAD to get a wine. Actually I had BQ get it which turned out to be a really good idea as he choose really well. Well back to the washing.
