OMG!!!

So I spent this afternoon and evening putting the bunk bed together. I had been waiting months for BQ to carry the bed package upstairs for me when last night I realised I could just open it and carry it up in pieces - DUH!! Sometimes I feel so blonde! So I carried it up (with help from my boys while AQ cheered us on) upstairs this morning and this afternoon got started on putting it together. OK so maybe I can do anything of the “manly” jobs about the house but it sure does go faster when you get some help! It took me all afternoon and much of the evening. It looks great and is plenty sturdy so I can’t have gone too wrong. The only bit that is unstable is the ladder and that is the bit that BQ came in and did at the end! (Just so as he could claim he helped!)

So I got it all set up and was about to put everyone to bed when ZQ and EQ got to talking and decided that they would share a room. I almost fell over dead!! I had to ask them in about 4 different ways before I actually believed I wasn’t confusing what they were saying. So they now officially share a room and AQ has Bears room. (We shall see how long this lasts!) It would be so great if we did not have to move or build an addition.

When they were laying in their beds ZQ says to EQ that now they are sharing rooms he will share his special stuff with him. Then he went on to say that EQ needs to share his special stuff with him and they should move all his special stuff in tommorrow. They were making plans about where everything should go and how they were going to carefully move it. Was very cute. Then EQ leans out and says “I love you ZQ thanks for sharing your room with me” and ZQ leans back and says “I love you EQ. Thanks for sharing my room with me” and they went to sleep!!!!!!! Shocked??? I only wish every day could go like that!!! I am shocked they actually like eachother. I actually think that is the first time they have said it unprompted. I am so glad I never pushed them into this. What a treat to have them want it. I hope it lasts at least a short while.

AQ is most at home in EQs bed as that is where she would fall asleep each night as a baby anyway so that works too. She was scared waking in ZQs room last night.

I went looking for a waffle iron today as I have been trying to think of electric things we could use to cook with while the kitchen is unusable. I thought that it would be possible to buy a cast iron waffle iron that you could plug in. Well it is, http://www.kasbahouse.com/villawareonline/wafflers.asp scroll down and you will see one of only a few cast iron ones on the market - thats right folks only $1,400. A bargain! I will expect one for Christmas!! NOT! What a joke! So I guess no-one else in the world is concerned about poisoning from tefflon or aluminium. I will just have to get a non-electric cast iron one (Which will not be of use when I do not have a stove. But I would like to make the kids waffles now and then.).

ZQ can REALLY ride! Just took off! He convinced Daddy to turn off the computer long enough to come and see him ride and Daddy let him ride on the street. Turned out that is what he needed as he could get going without having to stress too much about turning or running into anything. He got so good he was jumping off the curb. Well there go the training wheels. Just like that! I expected at least one set of tears! Not one! He falls, gets up and jumps back on. Keeps saying he is just going to keep practicing until he doesn’t fall. I am so impressed.

EQ has turned into a speed demon. He is nuts on his bike now. I can’t believe how fast he got the hang of it either. Everyone was just ready I guess.

AQ is still mad she can’t ride the bikes. She crawls up them and gets on trying to make it move with her body as she can’t even reach the peddles. Then she gets mad and gets off kicks the bike and says “damn it bike”. Like its the bikes fault. lol. I am in for so much trouble with that one. You would think I would stop laughing at her cussing and put a stop to it before it gets too recogniseable. I am so weak. I can’t help it, it is just so cute. “MUUUUUMMMMMA!! Brubba hit me. DAMN IT” Then she’ll look at him and go “damn it brubba” The boys don’t recognise “brubba” as brother yet so they have no idea she can nark on them yet. They are so shocked when I come over and know what has happened.

Well I still haven’t finished that laundry… someone please find out how to squeeze more time into a day for me PLEASE!
