When a visitor arrives it is only polite to offer them a drink…

In this case the visitor is of the monthly variety and the drink of choice is baileys. Trust me, the visitor is MUCH more tolerable this way! lol

Glad all went well with Dads surgery. How long till fully recovered?

Lets see… the interview went well enough. (you never know until they chop it up what you are really going to sound like) They interviewed us together with AQ on my lap for a bit. Should be cute to see her in it. That was a bit of a last minute surprise. We got on the plane and it ended up with a tail wind and we were home an hour early!! YES FOLKS, at last a trip where the plane was NOT DELAYED!!

It was great to get back to the boys even though it was only 1 night.

EQ got up the next morning before his school test and announced he no longer wanted to go to school. A bit shell shocked from me being away I think. I took him anyway and dragged him through it then couldn’t get him to leave.

We spent the rest of the day hanging at the lake. ZQ and I started a sludgy sand castle craze and at one point every child on the beach was making them and you had to step over them to get to the water. It looked awesome. Was good fun too. We pretty much did that all afternoon. AQ slept on the beach towel under the umbrella much of the afternoon, I think she was a bit tired from traveling.

We had a quiet day at home on Thurs. It is the first day entirely at home that I can remember in a long time.

Today we got up and had an early Dr appt. Strep free - YAY!

Then we took an AFTERNOON NAP!! We were all pretty tired and everyone agreed that a nap would be nice so thats what we did! 2 hours!!! I can’t believe how lucky that was!!! I am so thrilled!

My one lady I am shopping for is quickly becoming troublesome and I can see I am going to have to give her some firm rules. She called at 5pm yesterday (after me waiting all day for her to decide when she wanted me to go) and wanted me to go then. I simply said “well actually now I am cooking dinner for the children” so we arranged for me to do them today. She said she would call if there were a change in plans for her. Having being asked already what time was too late to call and having clearly told her I am available 9-10.30pm after the kids go to bed…. she called at 1.30am in the morning. BQ who had just started to try and get some sleep answered and was very nice to her but is still in shock that someone can actually think it is ok to call anyone at 1.30 in the morning. lol

Well I am off to finish dinner and make some cookies with the babes. They are out on the deck in the sandpit having a blast.

Hugs to Dad.
