HI from the cold

Another week over, and half the year slipped by with. Just one week unitl my wee girl slips into another decade of her life, you are a fine wine honey, ageing extremely well.

What have I done this week.

Tried to warm up and thaw out. The heat pump is not my kind of heat, still need to sort out getting my feet warm. Have to get Muz to check the filters as apparently that will help.

Murray has been away working all week so its just been Benny and me. He is still a little lost without Jemma to beat him up. It has been hectic at wrok as it is the end of the month, end of financial year and finalise budgets for next year. Boy why cant they make up their minds what they want done in one week. We are meeting on Monday morning with the outcome of the last few months meetings about waiting lists, and how to deal with them. The ministry have made it clear that under NO circumstances will they contiune to pay at the beginning of the month unless we become compliant. This means a loss of 3-4 mil a month in interest. Big loss as we are already running a 12 million deficit. As long as they keep paying I dont really care how they manage they pennies. Looks like we are going to return another 3-4k ppl back to their GP as we are unable to treat them within the 6 months that the ministry say we have to do.

I have been on the CDC high tech launch programme, which after 12 weeks and a final presentation night has come to an end, (Yahoo). It is really hard to take in 3 hours of lectures after a full days work, Coronation Street is so much easier to digest. (and I can knitt at the same time). I am really pleased with the powerpoint presentations that I put together. Kay, Mark and Marilyn did the talking, I did the pretty pics. I have to admitt to a bit of author editorial editing and added a picture of Accalia to the presentation as it was too old heavy with no babies, she looks sooooo cute and being a b&w pic was really a centre point. The night went off without a hitch, apart from me getting to my car only to find I hadnt turned off the lights in the morning, and had a flat battery. Boy 0800 numbers come in handy, especially as I didnt even have my phone. When Mark came and picked me up, he passed comment about it not being any worse, I had to admitt that it could have been, Kay could have been with me. She would not have coped with the delay, hiccup at all, but we arrived and got set up without to many being aware of the drama that had taken place. I was lucky that I was oncall for 0800help4u, so had the phone in my little hot hand, note to ones self, never leave home without the phone. How did we cope before cell phones.

I am sitting here waiting on reports to finish running, and printing. Boy what a night, Friday and not a drink in my hand, not right. Not even a coffee as they have shut the kitchen and gone home. Could go upstairs but that would mean going  upstairs and I am bet. Been here since 7 as I had an 8 oclock meeting and wasnt sure that the car would go.

Lyns (worked in the office) daughter is having a real hard time with all the threapy and post op healing. She did manage to go to her school formal for almost two hours but has been really struggling to move about this week. She is really not at all keen on the early morning appointments as she doesnt get up till after 10.30. She has been banned from the shower as she passed out in it and took almost Lynn wrecking the house and herself to get to her, as she was jammed against the door. We really so lucky with our health. It is so hard to see children go through that kind of trauma.

Shortest day has come and gone, so we are heading for summer, I cant wait, I miss the sun, but then I guess that America isnt getting too much sun with all that rain, may as well be in New Zealand.

Well going to clean up about here a bit as I wait for this report to finish printing. I am going to have to find a better way to cheat the system than me being here for hours after everyone has gone home. There has to be a way to cheat, Ben come programme for me. Actually I am now going home, the printer has finished and I have just given myself a major paper cut.

Just spoken to Kaikoura, Grandad is having fish and chips for tea. They have approved Nanas travel for her visits to the hospital, not sure yet if she is going to get the past ones paid for, will have to ring up on Monday for her, but it will give her petrol money for the future ones. Nana’s birthday on the 3rd. Must remember. Note to ones self, ring mother on Monday.

love and hugs to all.

I feel exhausted just reading that - hope you get some time to relax over the weekend and have a few glasses of wine for me - I could really use one (and so could someone else I beleive).
