Spent the day in the yard preparing beds for new plants. Have finally decided to go ahead with the landscaping I have wanted to do for 5 years now. It is going to look great, I am soo excited.
The kids all helped. It was so very cute. The boys got their dumptrucks & filled them with topsoil then dragged them over to where I was dumping the wheel barrow loads. AQ just sat happy wherever I plonked her - such a sweet babe.
Bear said his favourite part of the day was helping in the yard. He is such a dear wee soul. Just loves to be doing something to help out, a very generous boy.
We all went for a walk into the woods to look for landscaping rocks in the early evening. We found a mere 2 rocks only 1 of which was small enough to bring back, I guess we shall have to find a spot to hunt for rocks nearby.
I have 6 inches of dirt under my nails & dirt is heavy to heave around. The boys are most dissapointed not to be able to keep the dirt mound on the driveway & have requested that we make one for them at the new house.
I had a wonderful day but boy am I exhausted. Fun working in the yard but oh dear the housework needs help now… never will be caught up will I?
Zq when asked how much his work was worth today (I offered them a tip for helping me as I was pretend tipping the dumptruck drivers & Elijah said he wanted a real one) having heard us offer Bear $2 said he was worth $4. Double his brother of course! lol. He is too smart for his own good that one.
Off to finish dishes & watch an episode of Lost before colapsing in bed.
