WOW! What a day! I had about 6 inches of dirt on my hands when I finally got to the shower tonight. We shoveled soo much dirt and mulch! If it weren’t for the fact that my body is screaming in pain I wouldn’t believe we had actually done it.
Adam and Chris came out to pick up Chris’s boat today and helped out with a bit of the sholveling. They took out the pond and filled that in. YAY!! I am so glad to be rid of that. Such a poorly designed pond. Note to self: Only have pond that is very large and does not require filtering and do not put it in the leaviest spot in the yard!
We now have foundation flower beds - all we need is the flowers. I am so excited It looks pretty already without the flowers.
When Chris and Adam showed up the first thing out of Zqs mouth was “can you help my Daddy lift the big boulder?” So we have a gorgeous bolder in the front flower bed I love it. Adam says I am a woman of simple pleasures - lol. The kids call it their singing boulder. It is aparantly for standing on & singing.
Tonight before bed Elijah came up and said he needs huggles. He sat on my lap & sung me a very long I love you song which was a mixture of Frere Jac, twinkle twinkle, sedated (yes the ramones song), a few others and loads of I love yous. The best song I have ever heard :D.
Aq has really started to call me when she wants me. I think it has helped being on the other side of the yard from her a bit the last couple of days.
Zac has started to really ask some great questions about how things work and why things are the way they are. We are enjoying some great conversations with him. Such a bright boy.
Both boys have taken to telling you whether something is a quadraped or a biped.
