DRAMA CENTRAL!!! lol So I unintentionally called in the rescue troops yesterday. I feel quite foolish. I fell up the stairs in the garage carrying stuff and hurt my shin badly. The pain was excruciating and because I had to go about doing homework and feeding kids it didn’t go away. I couldn’t get ahold of bq and really wasn’t sure who to ask as to whether or not I needed to see a Dr. So I called my neighbour who is a nurse to simply ask her if the swelling could be pushing on a nerve and that is all that is causing the pain. She was at work so she sent over her husband to take me to the ER and our other neighbour to watch the kids. I felt so silly. I knew it was broken I just wanted to know if the ammount of pain meant I did something else that needed looked at. She insisted that I needed an xray so off I went.

Turns out I just have a tiny chip on the bone and the swelling is pusing on a nerve. ER DR did exactly the same thing to himself once so was able to tell me that it hurts like an SOB and will do for a while.

Note to self, next time call no-one tough it out then sit with ice on it when kids go to bed and all will be well.

AQ fell and hit her nose at gymnastics on Tuesday. Smacked it on the boxspring. The fall looked so awful from the viewing platform upstairs that I rushed down with my heart in my throat convinced that she had broken a bone in her face. Turns out that she just gave herself a bloody nose but she was heartbroken that her coach had broken her trust and not caught her. So I had to take my little broken hearted babe home. I figured she was tired too as we are still battling whatever bug it was that attacked the family, so we took a nap together and when she woke up she was a new person and ready to forgive her coach and go back to gymnastics on Wednesday.

AQ and I have been making the most of our girl time and going for walks at the lake and goofing around together. It is so nice to get time to enjoy how funny she is without having to battle it making anyone else crazy.

Today at gymnastics aqs coach was trying to get her to look in a certain direction instead of at her. So she placed a large foam block where aq should be looking and said “here pretend this is Miss Mary.” So aq walked up to it and slapped it upside the head! It was so funny!

OK I have a washing pile that is just EMBARRASING to get to and yes my neighbour did see AND comment on it last night… sigh. “I never saw a washing pile this big before” Lucky her with her 1 kid to take care of!
